I am in love with Shop Succulents on Etsy. I’ve been wanting an item (any item) from their shop for some time. So, you should understand how excited I was when they sent me their Teardrop Succulent Terrarium Trio Kit for me to enjoy and share with my readers.
I must say these teardrop vases are even more gorgeous in person. The photos don’t do them justice.
The kit that Shop Succulents sent me comes with 3 separate succulents:
Perle von Nurnberg – Waxy pearly-purple/bluish colored rosettes
Echeveria Derenbergii – This perennial evergreen has frosted bristle- red tipped leaves and blooms a bell shaped tiny flowers with painted red tips during the winter season.
Echeveria Runyonii “Topsy Turvy” – A pale blue-gray rosette with leaves that curve upwards
The kit also comes with Crassula Tetragona (slender, rounded emerald green leaves), soil, and the 3 tear-drop glass vases.
Each succulent was packaged in separate boxes and labeled, which made it easy to move it directly from its box into the vase.
Setting up the terrariums was super easy. First, I placed the soil in a vase and dropped in 3 of the Crassula Tetragona in the back of the vase. I, then, made a hold in the soil (in the front of the vase) and placed in a succulent. Just repeat for the other 2 succulents and you’re done. So simple a cave man can do it (hmmm…).
Keep terrarium out of direct sun! Indirect or filtered light only so the plants do not get burned. Water sparingly…our designers use a spray bottle and lightly spray the soil once or twice a week. If you do not have a spray bottle just be careful not to leave any standing water in the globe. Be sure to water the soil, not the plants. Succulents do not do well with standing water on their leaves.
I think the best part of these terrariums is that they can be hung from the top with rope, ribbon, fabric, or anything else you want to use. I’m trying to figure out the best place to hang these (once I stop moving them from surface to surface). Make sure to visit Shop Succulents to buy these and see all the other beautiful terrariums they have.
So, do you love these? What’s your best tips for taking care of succulent terrariums? Be sure to drop a comment and let me know.
Till next time,
