Doesn’t it feel good when you can FINALLY finish a project in your home? I’m so excited to share my small kitchen hallway after putting it off for almost a year! I’m hosting the #SpringIntoActionBlogHop along with my blogging boos: Carli of Fearfully & Wonderfully Made, Erin of Live Pretty on a Penny, and Nicole of She Does a Bunch. We also had some awesome bloggers agree to join us to Spring into Action and get a project around their home done!

If you’re jumping over to my blog from Kendra of Three Bean Circus… WELCOME!! Make sure after you’ve taken a look here, that you jump over to Carla Bethany’s blog to see her home office/guest room updates.

My kitchen was the first room we finished in our home and then we completely neglected this hallway. We installed floors only up to the line of the refrigerator and have been super lazy when it was time to do the hallway floors. But, now I’m ready to stamp a big FINISHED on this project…

Since this space is so small, I had no idea what I would do here, or if I should do anything at all, except install the floors new baseboards, and paint the garage door. And, taking photos was also challenging, especially since I have an unfinished laundry room to the left and I disastrous, unfinished dining room/man cave to the right. So, I had to be really careful when choosing angles for these photos.

I can’t find before photos ANYWHERE, but I did find a video from when we first viewed our home. It’s just 13 seconds. At the end, you’ll see what the hallway looked like.

I’m glad to say that I’ve figured out a functional way to help me further organize my kitchen/pantry that will save counter space AND a shelf in my tiny pantry!

I moved a console table here from my bedroom (that I was using as nightstands – I have two) and am now using it as a mini coffee station for my Nespresso. I literally drink one (or two) cups a day, but hate having it on my kitchen counter. It’s a beautiful machine, but I like to have my countertops as clear as possible, since I like to stretch out when cooking. I also love that the console table has these two drawers and a door for added storage. I’m thinking I’ll put my tea bags and extra coffee pods in the drawers and coffee mugs in the door.

On the console table, I have my coffee pods in a glass jar (that I’ll probably switch out later) and a low light plant in my new planter from Target.

Hanging on the wall above my console table is my juju hat, that’s seriously been in every room of my home so far. LOL, we’ve been here for less than a year! It’s one of my favorite pieces of decor that I’ve ever owned.

And, did you see that I painted my garage door this beautiful red/burgundy? It’s such a bold, beautiful shade, which I think was needed with my all white/gray kitchen. I was longing for some color here.

We use A LOT of towels in the kitchen, for some reason. And, I may or may not always buy cute ones when I see them in Home Goods. LOL. I used to have them on a shelf in my pantry, but now I can  stack them in this basket under the console table.

I can’t believe it took forever for us to put down the floors and baseboards, because as soon as we got done, I starting bringing the juju and the console table in. I was so excited to make this little hallway look like something. And, in case you’re wondering… no the console table is not in the way. We use this hallway all the time, since our garage and laundry room is through here. If we need to bring in something large through the house, we can easily move it out of the way. And the pantry, which is right across from it, is still easily accessible, since the clearance is enough space for the pantry door to open all the way up.

It’s such a fun and functional little hallway now!
