I’m being sponsored by Joss & Main for this post and am being compensated for this collaboration. We’re partnering to share how I’ve updated my living room for the fall season, which will hopefully inspire you to update your home, too! Thank you so much for supporting the brands that support this blog!
It’s the warmth for me!!!
My living room is such a cute and warm, cozy space, but I’ve never really got to bring it to its full potential.
I’ve been wanting to do a total transformation of this space for the longest time, including a new rug, new sofa, accent wall, fireplace reno, bar makeover, custom media cabinet, etc. But, since I’m so busy with my design business and new design studio/retail store, I just don’t have any time for major changes. Especially since I want to get my bedroom done first!
So, what I tend to do in my living room is make small changes here and there. Like, I’d change pillows/throws and rotate art and accessories, depending on my mood. Right now, I’m in the mood to really bring in some bold fall decor. Especially to highlight my new sectional that I bought a couple months ago. I can’t wait to fully show it to ya’ll! It’s huge! Even bigger than my last sectional!
Joss and Main sent me a gift card to purchase some items to elevate my fall decor, so I chose to get some accent tables, since I desperately needed surfaces to organize and corral some of my home accessories. Before I got the tables, I didn’t have many hard surfaces for styling.
I ordered the Candace Console Table and the Abbie Wood Drum Table.
My fall decor consists of lots of layering (well, I always do lots of layering) of textures and color, mainly burnt orange, creams, and greens.

I love the way black looks on my green walls, but I do like to bring in some white to balance all the darkness, as well as some grays and creams to even everything out. I am not a fan of black and white with a “pop” of color. It can look amazing, but personally, I need to see black and white, with grays and creams for it to work for me. Then, I like to bring in some color and wood accents. My style.
The black parsons table (Candace Console Table) was perfect for this wall! I used to have wall shelves that were great for styling lots (and lots) of books and accessories, but it was a pain to keep the shelves clean and dust-free. My new table gives me just enough surface space to style and rotate accessories and it’s a breeze to just quickly dust the table when needed.
I also got this capiz side table (Abbie Wood Drum Side Table) from Joss and Main. It’s so beautiful and is the perfect size for my space. I need my accent furniture to be easily moved, so that my husky and maltipoo have enough space to run and jump around on their wild days. It’s lightweight, but it’s large enough to place a couple books and accessories on top. I kept the fall decor to a minimum here, bringing in a studded pumpkin and a scented candle.
I love how the gorgeous capiz finish varies at different angles and how delicate and sparkly it is, while still being really strong and durable.
I can’t wait to share the rest of my living room. My fall decor is always colorful and consists of browns, golds, greens, and burnt oranges. The key for me is to layer the textures. Chenilles, furs, velvets, fringe. It’s such a cozy mix! Everything will probably stay up until I’m ready to decorate for Christmas… well IF I decorate for Christmas this year. I guess it depends on how this election goes. Please vote, people!
I can’t wait to share more about my living room. As always, you can see sneak peeks in my IG stories, but be sure to come back to the blog for full reveals, too. Remember, my bedroom makeover is still in the works! And, did you know I was a FEATURED DESIGNER for the One Room Challenge??? This round of the ORC we’re designing virtual rooms and it’s gonna be AMAZING! Check out my week 1 intro the ORC and stop back on Wednesday for the week 2 update!
