OH how happy I am to be sharing with you guys the photos from a recent install!! You might have seen lots of sneak peeks on my Instagram before and during the install. It turned out beautifully, but admittedly I wish I had some better photos.
First, let’s see what the room looked like before:
My client recently had the beautiful, wood-look floors installed, but the furniture was old and dated and she was ready for a totally new look. She loves pink and wanted a feminine bedroom that she could relax in. She saw the before and after transformation of the pink transitional bedroom makeover project from earlier this year and wanted a similar layered look with lots of accessories.
I brought in lots of pink, shimmer, sparkle, and other glam elements. Take a look at the afters!!
The only thing that stayed in the room is the pink bedding that my client really wanted to keep. It became the jumping off point of the room by bringing in some soft, feminine elements to pop off it and also some bold, saturated colors to contrast against it.
One of my favorite parts of the room is the new West Elm Hayworth nightstands and dresser. I love the gold accents and the feminine lines. So chic and fun!
The curtains were a HomeGoods find and are AMAZING! As I mentioned before, I wish I could have gotten some better photos, because mine doesn’t do the room justice, especially when it comes to these sparkly gray curtains. They’re so luxe and has the perfect amount of shimmer.
These cute prism-style pieces worked perfectly over the bed. They actually connect to be three 3D pieces that are perfect as shelf decor and displaying air plants. I separated them and attached them on the wall with the sticky anchors that came with the prisms.
The pillows on the bed are some of my other favorites. The extra long, fringy lumbar pillow was the most perfect accent! I love how it has lots of bounce as you fall across the bed and how it shimmers against the pink pillows. The floral ones were last minute finds at HomeGoods and helped pull together the rest of the bedding.
The gorgeous colorful rug we used in my client’s bedroom is really bold, yet pulls together the entire room. It’s such a fun accent and I purchased it in a large 7’10” x 11′ size for maximum impact. I wanted to make sure it was seen around the entire room. And, the Fuchsia Nina chair from World Market contrasts beautifully against the soft pink bedding.
Remember I told you that the West Elm Hayworth nightstands and dresser were my favorite pieces in the room? Can’t you see why?? Look at those legs!
The dresser is much smaller in scale than the dresser that my client previously had, but she assured me that the new one has more than enough space for what she needs.
I made sure to include lots of accessories on the dresser for my client, including a gorgeous shell tray and storage for her jewelry. I’ve been including a salt lamp in all my latest projects, because I love them so much. Anybody else a salt lamp hoarder? I have them in every room of my home.
I’ve also shared the project on YouTube, so make sure that you subscribe to my channel. I’d love if you’d share the video with your friends. Here’s a direct link.
So, what do you think of this feminine pink and gray bedroom transformation? I’d love for you to leave me a comment below!

This is mind boggling Whitney! Brilliant transformation akin to an ugly duckling being transformed to a beautiful swan. What creativity and effective use of colors.
