**** Chesapeake Bay Candle sent me these candles for review, but as always when working with a brand, all statements are honest and are my own opinions. Thanks for supporting brands that keep this blog rolling! ****
Chesapeake Bay Candle sent me some candles (below) from the Mind & Body collection to review. Remember the post I did about the other amazingly scented candles I had when I lived in my apartment? Well, when I was done burning candles, I used a couple of the empty jars to plant some succulents. Check out the YouTube video here.
So, Chesapeake Bay Candle sent me four highly scented soy candles in beautiful containers to review. The gorgeous pastel colors and high-quality wood lids make perfect decorative accents for your nightstands, coffee tables, and countertops. They’re perfect for chic storage after you’ve finished burning the scented soy inside.
The Mind & Body collection is inspired by the ever-growing wellness lifestyle that many of us are aspiring to achieve. As Mei Xu, co-owner and CEO of Chesapeake Bay Candle, mentioned, the Mind & Body collection was designed to help “people to achieve a sense of balance and peace inside, so they can share their joy and energy with others.” I’ve been burning the candles for a couple of weeks now and even though I’m normally a positive person, I definitely feel lighter in spirit and a sense of calmness when I’m burning them.
I also love that the colors of the jars were chosen based on the collection’s wellness lifestyle theme. Aqua to represent the calmness of a lagoon, green representing hope and nature, blue to represent the sky and sea, and dark blue like the deep blue ocean, representing freedom and excitement for the unknown.
I burn the sea salt sage Reflection + Clarity candle in my office. It’s one of my favorites of the four in the Mind & Body collection that I received. I’ve been burning it the most and it has excellent scent throw (the distance the scent can be smelled from the flame). My home is about 1750 sq ft, and I can seriously smell this candle burning all throughout the house. It’s the perfect scent for journaling and concentrating on planning and goal setting. I’ve been loving to light it when I get my day started in the morning. It’s a 12.5 oz jar with about 70 hours of burn time. The sea salt sage scent contains orange, chamomile, lavender, laurel, patchouli, and tea. It’s so relaxing with the lavender and patchouli notes.
The mint basil Simplicity + Hope candle burns in my kitchen and is perfect when you want a refreshing nature smell. It comes in a beautiful green jar that goes with any color scheme. I love burning it while I’m cleaning and when I open up the windows throughout my home. It gives me the one-with-nature feels. It contains orange terpenes and patchouli essential oils. If you love minty smells, you’ll love this one, plus there are notes of lavender. It’s sooooo good, ya’ll! Also, a 12.5 oz jar with about 70 hours of burn time.
I burn the waterlily pear Balance + Harmony candle in my kitchen, too. It’s another one of my favorites. It has a soft, sweet, and slightly fruity smell. It’s my everyday scent that I burn for a few hours a day during the morning and a few hours later in the evening. It comes in a 8.8oz jar with 50 hrs of burn time. The soft aqua color of the jar is really pretty.
Lastly, I burn the oak moss amber Confidence and Freedom candle in my laundry room. It has a wonderfully fresh scent full of notes of cedar, moss, and even hints of lemon. It reminds me of the popular “cotton” air fresheners, so it’s perfect for a laundry room where there are linens. It’s another 8.8 oz jar, in a beautiful dark blue color, with about 50 hours of burn time. Burn this one when you need a perk-me-up while cleaning or working out. Thank me later!
Make sure you try the Chesapeake Bay Candle Mind and Body collection. You’ll definitely love these!!
