I am partnering with Joss & Main for this sponsored post and am being compensated for this collaboration. We’re partnering to share how to use your nightstand to organize your bedroom. As always, all opinions are mine and mine alone. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that support this blog!
There’s one room in my home that you guys haven’t seen ANY of. My bedroom. We’ve been living rough in here and it’s about time that we finally spruced this space up! By “rough”, I mean we had bed rails and a mattress for a bed, my grandmothers old dresser, mismatched nightstands, ugly walls, and a dingy popcorn ceiling. And, by “spruce”, I mean a TOTAL TRANSFORMATION!
A few days ago, I shared my master bedroom concept and listed all the things that need to get done in order to transform the space. And, while there is sooooo much to do, we couldn’t even wait to put our new furniture in place. I am definitely gonna regret that when we have to pull everything out to scrape the ceiling and paint the walls.
Now, when you think about organizing a home, how many times do you include your bedroom in that? I’ve found that a lot of folks don’t maximize their bedroom well, so in partnership with Joss & Main, I want to show you how I’m styling my nightstand (at least until I’m ready to paint and wallpaper) to help me stay organized. This is just a small part of organizing an entire bedroom, but with a great nightstand, you can really level up on the organization.
I chose the gorgeous Rollings 3 Drawer Nightstand and it’s been amazing for keeping all my clutter corralled. This nightstand is perfect with helping you organize your bedroom. It’s really large (which was a must-have when planning my bedroom design), so I’m able to hold lots of things on top, as well as inside the drawers. So much so, that I haven’t even been able to fill the bottom two drawers, yet.
Another thing I really love about this nightstand is the USB outlets that come attached to the top back of it. You basically plug your nightstand in the wall, and then you’re able to plug your phone into the nightstand. This is a must when I’m finding nightstands for clients, and really keeps you from having to plug and unplug your phone from the wall. The USB outlets are perfectly hidden, really easy to access.
Right now, I’m styling my nightstand with lots of books, which is pretty normal for me, since I’m a heavy reader. Having a place for my books right next to my bed, keeps me from reaching for my phone, when I’m having a hard time sleeping.
Having a large nightstand gives you the ability to place lots of items on top, that can also help you hide more clutter. I opted for a small rounded box on top for my rings and stud earrings, but optionally, a large box or basket would have been great to corral things like your head wraps, lotions, and face creams. Basically anything that you need to use at night, but want to keep out of sight. Those items I keep in my second drawer.
In my top drawer I keep some of my favorite pieces of jewelry, a little heart lidded box for my favorite sparkly earrings, and a linen wrapped box with a gold lid for any extras that I need to hide away.
I love that the drawers are lined with velvet at the bottom. It gives the nightstand the extra little glam detail that I love. Also, the velvet bottom is great for keeping small, light-weight items (like earrings) from rolling around when opening and closing the drawers.
Can’t wait to share more about my bedroom. I’m taking you through the entire process on IG and the blog, so stay tuned.
And, the next time you’re redecorating, please consider how your nightstand can play into helping you organize your bedroom. Those little tables and nightstands don’t cut it if you’re short on storage! Find some new nightstands on Joss & Main.
Till next time!
