I haven’t done a whole lot of DIY projects here on the blog, but I have a whole lot in store. I wanted to share some of my favorite DIY projects that I’ve done so far. Coming up you’ll see how-to furniture tutorials, upholstery projects, and lots of other decor DIYs. If you love DIY, you should consider joining my Decor & DIY facebook group.
So, on to the DIY projects you may have missed:
Gold Faux Leather DIY Floor Pouf
So fun! This is probably my favorite DIY project to date. I’m making a few of these for my living room in a different material. I can’t wait! These floor poufs are great for extra seating for guests or they’d make great dog beds in a shorter size. You can add a zipper to the bottom for easy cleaning or you can hand sew it close like I’ve done. You’ve gotta make a couple of these for your home!
DIY Faux Leather Drawer Handles for a Dresser
These faux leather handles were so fun to make. I love the look of leather handles, but wanted to use a material that I had on hand already, which was lots and lots of faux leather fabric. It’s an easy DIY project that can update your dressers, chests, and console tables. So cute!
Roofing a Dog House with Shingles
My dogs hated this dog house, so I’ve since taken it down, but I really liked making it and having the raised bed garden on top. The shingles on the roof were so easy, even though the project was very intimidating. If you have a she shed, dog house, or storage outside, adding shingles to the roof is a great way to spruce the outside up.
DIY Coffee Mug Planter
I’m crazy about plants (see the trouble I’ve gone through with my fiddle leaf baby), so I’ve bought a lot of different planters over the years. I really wanted a mug shape planter, so I decided to try my hand at a DIY project. It was really fun to make and I plan to make a few more really soon.
DIY Concrete Shelf
I made this concrete shelf for my old bathroom as a blogger for the Home Depot’s DIY Challenge. I would have never known that working with concrete was so easy! You should definitely try this DIY project if you want some unconventional shelving. Just remember to find the studs in your wall!
High Gloss Bar Top Makeover
This is another DIY project that’s my favorite! (Can you have two favorites?) My ugly bar top was being threatened every day (by me) to be torn down. I’m so glad I decided to just paint and give it a coat of EnviroTex Lite. You can try this project on countertops, too!
So, that’s all for now, y’all! Take a look at the above projects and check back later this week for more!
Till next time,
