We all love to spend time with friend and family, and doing so at home has become increasingly popular in recent times as people look to save a bit of cash. And let’s face it; sometimes it’s just nicer to have your own space where things are bit more private and relaxed!
If you want to give your home that ‘party’ feel, or are looking to create somewhere that people enjoy gathering at, then there are a number of additions you can make – both affordable and a bit more on the luxurious side – to help achieve this.
Good seating areas
Even when you are having an evening at a bar or in a club, sometimes you just want to sit down, unwind and have a bit of a chat with your friends. A well-thought out seating space can achieve this. If outdoors, a decking area with four small two-seater chairs facing inwards to create a square makes a good social space, whilst inside a comfy corner sofa unit (perhaps one which has built in drinks holders) would work incredibly well.
Quality sound system
No decent party can happen without having some music on, and you’ll want to make sure that the people you have over to your house are able to enjoy the tunes on a good quality sound system. With the technology available to us these days, it’s possible to have one sound system with multiple speakers positioned throughout the house, often connected via Bluetooth and all controlled via your iPod or iPad
Hot tub
A bit more of a luxurious addition to your home would be a hot tub. Putting one in the corner of your garden creates the ultimate, chilled-out party space – it’s something that your friends and family would be bugging you to let them use over and over again! A hot tub from can be enjoyed throughout the year, even when the weather is cold – visit us to find out more about how they could transform your garden.
Dance floor
If you are feeling a bit adventurous (and have the space available), why not look at decking out a dance floor somewhere in your home? If you have a basement then that would make the ideal space for your dance floor – giving you an area to have a bit of a ‘rowdier’ party if you wish to. You had probably best make sure that you don’t have any neighbours that would get annoyed by this though – if in doubt then maybe just invite them along!
Home bar
Home bars are becoming increasingly popular, with those looking to bring the fun of going out into the home environment. You could even use this to complement the dance floor idea above to create the ultimate party area. Those on a budget could even just opt for buying an optics machine and keeping it on your existing counter – giving you a fun yet affordable way to have a drinks night in the comfort of your own home.
So, are you planning to have a party in your home soon? What changes (small or large) are you going to make to turn your home into the ultimate party venue? Tell me all about it below.
Till next time,
XOXO

Great ideas. Who wouldn’t love to have a hot tub, even when there’s no party going on. 🙂
