Believe me I understand how stressful it can be going back to school. As parents we know what’s in store, and it’s scary. As for those of you going back to school, you too know what’s coming your way and you have a lot to think about. One thing that often gets overlooked is preparing for the year in a way that makes things easier. Yes, that’s organization.
Reminder Zone
Believe me, things will get so hectic that you will be thrilled you have a whole zone to keep you up to date. Fill it up with your tasks, to do lists, and future projects. Having a reminder zone will make sure you get your assignments done on time. Try using clipboards for different classes or days of the week. Anything you can to keep these things separate and orderly.
Folders and Files
Your paperwork will become out of control. It happens to the best of us. So be sure you have the right items in order to keep these papers organized and neat. Choose something decorative as well as practical.
Desk Organizers
This is the smallest item, yet biggest impact on your organizational needs. You want to try to get something that keeps everything in order, isn’t too large, and still looks great of course.
Bookcases and Shelves
Luckily now with the use of E-Books and those good ol’ iPads, there aren’t as many books and notebooks on hand as there used to be. Still, you need to have a large open space for yourself in order to easily access and store everything you need.
Bulletin Board
Some things need to cared for sooner rather than later. It is for this reason that bulletin boards are so handy. You can have what you need to reference quickly right there on display. Better yet, you can use it as a place to keep your inspirational images. Sounds silly? Nah. It really is nice to look up and see something that you enjoy. Anything other than the projects that you know will keep you up all hours of the night.
Labels
Most people are completely unaware of how great using labels really is. Labels make us find things faster and most importantly, maintain our organization. This doesn’t have to be anything crazy. It’s just a simple way to keep the peace in your workspace. Organize boxes and binders by class or assignment.
