Can you believe I’ve been booking design consultations like crazy and most clients never knew I had a design studio AND shop?!!!
I realized that I never made the news official on my website, which is just NUTS. So, yes. It’s true. At the end of 2019, right before Christmas (and right before COVID hit the fan), I signed a lease to my first design studio.
Initially, I had planned to use this 1900+sqft place as a design studio/coworking space, but I quickly realized that it would be better suited for private space for my business.
I mention on Instagram all the time that I work with my family, and my studio has been so amazing for providing the space that we need to stretch out and work. I’ll do formal introductions to the whole team at a later date, but we made this cute video on my IG. Check it out here!!!
My studio has also been amazing for presenting design plans to my clients and having them visit for meetings. I can meet clients, vendors, and contractors without having to go to a coffee shop or to anyone’s home! I can’t even express how game changing this has been for my design firm. We have a coffee bar and can easily provide refreshments in an inspiring space that everyone loves to visit! If you have been thinking about hiring me, visit my services page or if you’re ready to get started, you can fill out your design questionnaire to book your design consultation!
Right now, we’re actively looking for a design assistant with CAD skills for our Design Studio, because we are busy with renovations and I can only see us getting busier with these type of projects! If you’re interested, please contact me.
Not long after getting my studio in order, I realized how great this space would be for displaying the product that I wanted to sell on my website.

I’d always wanted to launch a new online shop, where I sold more home accessories than just pillows. I’ve been selling pillows since 2013 and to be honest, I was getting a little bored with just looking and listing JUST pillows. I’m all about completing a client’s space with curated home accessories, so it was a natural fit for me to add some beautiful pieces to the shop that are intentional and fits my aesthetics as a designer. I literally shop MY shop for clients’ installs! If you look at my current work on Instagram, you’ll see lots of my product in my designs.
One day soon, I’ll share the full story about how this all came to fruition, but for now, I just want to you take a look at my shop and let me know what you think in the comments. Even if you don’t buy a thing! What would you like to see in my shop?

Because I like to randomly give away stuff, I want to offer a free $25 coupon to whoever wants it. Just use code INTRODUCINGTHESHOP at checkout and the $25 will be taken off your product total. Only one person can take advantage of this, so first come, first serve!
Till next time!

Hey Whitney!
Congratulations on the launch of your design studio and retail shop! Your article got me excited about the concept and the vibe you’re going for. You’ve curated a mix of vintage finds and modern pieces to create an inspiring space. The DIY workshops and design consultations add a personal touch. Your transparency about the design process is refreshing. Keep up the amazing work, Whitney! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store.
