Three weeks passed by really quickly! Make sure you check out week 1 and week 2 of the One Room Challenge.
We’ve painted my client’s room from the lavender color to a bright, beautiful white. The color is Chantilly Lace, by Benjamin Moore (which is the same color I’m painting my fireplace and bar brick). I love how the color makes the room feel a bit bigger. It’s a TINY room!
If you noticed, I’ve also moved the bed to the window, which wouldn’t usually be ideal, but it’s the best layout for giving the most impact when you come through the door.
I’m also starting on the dresser that I’m painting. The color I chose is this really beautiful shade of purple that I got custom mixed. I’m painting the dresser a semi-gloss finish. I think it’s going to be so beautiful next to the bed. Remember, initially I was planning on giving this dresser its own moment on its own wall, but the space just wasn’t there. Putting the dresser next to bed on one side and side table on the other side is just the better solution.
Lastly, I’ve ordered this gorgeous light fixture for the room and can’t wait for it to come in and get installed! It’s going to be the perfect accent for the room that won’t take up too much space visually, since the room is small.
Here’s what I’ll be working on next week?
- Stenciling the window wall
- Finish painting the dresser
- Find a great side table
- Make headboard
So, that’s all for now guys! Make sure you drop back in next Thursday for more updates.
Till next time,
