Remember my post from last week about beautiful statement pieces? Well, I didn’t add any rugs to that compilation, because I’ll be doing a separate round up just for beautiful statement rugs. But, just a little preview: statement rugs are an absolute MUST HAVE if you want a beautiful room, and are on my SPLURGE LIST (another upcoming post, I promise).
Persian and Oriental rugs are going to be on my SPLURGE LIST and the STATEMENT RUGS upcoming posts, so I had a lot of fun browsing through the beautiful ones of Fine Rug Collection.
They reached out to me to show you guys how to style their Oushak Oriental rug and I was so excited to put them in a few mock room designs. I’ve come up with three different transitional room designs that show off this beautiful rug.
I love the design of the pattern, but the colors are beautiful, too. The soft shade of blue, coupled with the tans, olives, and golden browns make this a perfect accent in a neutral room or one using any of those tones in bold ways.
For these three different transitional room designs, I chose to go with softer, neutral schemes, so that the rug stood out, while still having fun design moments through the gorgeous accent furniture.
Oushak Oriental rug // Art Collection Set // Foo Dog table lamps // extra deep sofa // end tables // Mongolian pillow // antiqued coffee table // accent chair
Oushak Oriental rug // agate art I // agate art II // lamps // nightstands // bed // bedding // stools // floor mirror
Oushak Oriental rug // room illustration art // bird art // framed letters art // bookcases // framed abstract art // floor lamp // settee // sequin pillow // lumbar pillow // ottoman // glass coffee table
If there is ever a time to splurge, an Oriental rug is the perfect place to start. The Oushak is hand-knotted and 100% wool, meaning it’s one-of-a-kind, durable, and resists soils and stains naturally.

So, what do you think of the Oushak rug in these three transitional room designs? I’d love to know! Leave me a comment below.
Till next time,
I have such a hard time finding a rug that can go between rooms! Love these ideas!

Thanks, Alaya!
I’m with Alaya, I have the hardest time choosing a rug, especially one that can transition from room to room. Beautiful job on these room plans!
Thanks, Carli! Rugs can definitely be hard to choose, which is why most times I like to start with the rug.
