Yesssss, we’re getting closer and closer to reveal our One Room Challenge spaces to you guys! I’m trying really hard to stretch some content for the 6 weeks, but I promise you’re in for a treat on week 6!
For this round of the One Room Challenge, as featured designers, we’re faced with designing a virtual space, bringing y’all along while we process each part of our designs. We’re partnering with High Point Market to give you some insight into how designers have vast access to “to-the-trade” sources, bringing you gorgeous, unique home furnishings that you usually can’t buy retail. Learn more about this round of the One Room Challenge in the week 1 intro post and last week’s update sharing some of my initial design ideas.
Learn more about me and my services and stay tuned to behind the scenes of my everyday design biz on IG. I also have a brick and mortar based in NOLA, but you can visit my online shop if you’d like to support!

After a consult with a client, I send over a proposal for extensive design services (as explained in last week’s update). After having my client sign our Letter of Agreement, I take measurements of the space(s) that I’m designing. I’m the client of this virtual project, but thankfully I have a real space to use as inspiration for the one room challenge. I’m designing a living room, home bar, and a really large library that I would LOVE to have in real life! In the layout of my client’s home (part of the first floor) below, you can get a good idea of how each space relates to each other.

And, here’s a peek at some of the finishes that I’m using throughout the spaces. I’m having a really hard time picking the perfect pink for the built-in bookcases in the library, but I’ll have that narrowed down soon!

As you can see, this palette is luxe, rich, and colorful! Ooooooooohhhweeee!! I wish this was a real project!!! Don’t you???!!
I can’t wait to show you everything! These fabrics are used throughout the spaces in some fun ways, including an acrylic chair with an upholstered seat! Gahhhh!
Next week, I’ll share some of the furniture I’m putting in the spaces, as well as the High Point Market vendors that I have access to to create such a vibrant, unique project.
If you need to get caught up to my One Room Challenge project, check out Week 1 and Week 2.
