A new series where I share things I’m currently obsessed with, updates from past design projects, and new décor & places I’ve discovered.
What I’m Obsessed With
Wooden Bowls, Trays, and Utensils
I’ve been stalking wooden bowls, trays, and utensils on Etsy for weeks now, and I think I’m finally ready to buy some. If you saw my recent post of Instagram where I shared a pic of my kitchen, you’ll know that I’m not completely comfortable with an all-white kitchen. It’s pretty, but I know I NEED some color, because it feels a bit cold. My initial solution was just to bring in some wood accents, like with the bamboo blinds. I also have some cute wooden utensils, but I want more. Here’s some that I’m loving:
Olive Wood Utensils Set from Zitouna Wood on Etsy
Large Farmhouse Ottoman Tray from Mirela Wood Designs on Etsy
Spalted Walnut Wooden Bowl from Sanders Woodworking on Etsy
Medium Black Walnut Wood Bowl from Snow Dog Quilt Woodwork on Etsy
Justina Blakeney’s Bold, Bohemian Furniture & Home Decor Line
I love Justina, so I was really excited about this new collection with Living Spaces. Her new furniture and home decor line is beautiful, bold, and bohemian, and I haven’t found a piece that I didn’t LOVE! Y’all know I love bold color and patterns, so I’m thinking she’s made this collection for me. You can shop her new collection at over at Living Spaces.

My Plant Updates
Jungle, the fiddle leaf fig
Y’all, I swear Rilo DOES NOT want me to have plants. I just did the part 2 blog post about Jungle, and this untamed gorilla went and ate mostly all the leaves and tore up some of the branch. How is he not sick?? Anyway, I’m really trying to decide whether or not I want to repot Jungle again. I’ve been a bit discouraged. Y’all saw all the progress I made with that tree! How big and beautiful it was, then got sick, then I cut him down to start all over?? Ugh!! Should I try to see if I could save him? Or, should I just let him go? I’ll keep you guys updated.
Jungle when I first got him
Jungle after he got sick and I had to cut him all the way down
My fiddle leaf fig tree, Jungle, after Rilo got to him.
New fiddle leaf fig tree
I know, I know! I probably didn’t need another one, but I found this one and had to have it. I bought it BEFORE Rilo tore up Jungle. I don’t have a name for it, though. Y’all have any suggestions?
So, that’s all for now, y’all! Be sure to check back new week for the next edition of Sunday’s Best!
Till next time,

Hi, I love bold colors too. I find all white a bit boring. I am a fan of Justina Blakeney. I love those wooden bowls.
