After finally completing just 2 rooms in my home (my master closet and kitchen), I’m ready to tackle the next big project! I’m just a few finishing touches away from revealing my living room and entryway and then I think I’m moving on to my guest bedroom!
I know I want to do a really cool feature wall, but can’t decide on a wallpaper or a stencil (like I did in my entryway). I partnered with Stencil Revolution to check out their stencil designs and create a room design around one of them. Although I might actually be using one of their stencils for my guest room, I was inspired to create a living room design featuring their honeycomb stencil pattern.
[disclaim]I was compensated by Stencil Revolution to showcase their product, but all opinions are mine.[/disclaim]The honeycomb pattern was extremely popular a few years ago. I never got a chance to jump on the trend, so I think now is the perfect time to try it on a small room in my home.
Putting it with some gorgeous furnishings in a living room design, is convincing me even more…
honeycomb stencil // sofa // art left // art right // coffee table // accent chair // side table // rug // table lamp // open hand // marble chain links // gold faux leather pillow // black studded pillow // horns
One thing I love about this living room design is the neutral background. As much as I love color (hence the color in the art and the gold pillows), I wanted to see some blacks, creams, and grays take center in this room design.
The honeycomb pattern is in taupe and black colors, which together might seem intimidating, but I used those colors in my entryway pattern – they look amazing!
My favorite taupe color right now is ‘Park Avenue’ by Behr Marquee, and my all-time favorite black is Behr Marquee’s ‘Limousine Leather’.
Because I knew that this room wouldn’t be filled with color, I made sure to bring in some texture and pattern with the boucle sofa, geometric rug and walls, leather chairs, and studded pillows.
I’m so fascinated with the artwork and seriously wish I had it for myself!
In order to get this honeycomb pattern on your walls, grab this honeycomb pattern from Stencil Revolution.
Their stencils come in a variety of sizes, so not only can you use them on the walls, but also on smaller projects, like furniture and paper crafts!

You have no idea how much this comment made my day, Kenyatta!! So glad you like the sofa. It’s definitely unique and a bit unexpected. But, I think the most unusual (and sometimes ugly) pieces can look good when paired with great pieces around it!
